“Check in was fast and I got room 914. The room was a bit dim lit when entering. There was a dark grey carpet, light walls but dark furniture including desk, bedside tables, chair and wardrobe. The bed was large enough and was a bit on the hard side. The TV had lots of channels but most of them were only in Spanish. Wifi was included and worked quite well and had decent speed as well. The room must have been upgraded in recent years as there were a few USB points to use for charging of e.g. cell phones. But I’m not quite sure if I see the point of having the USB points under the bedside table where it was hard to find them. There was also one international power outlet but that also had a strange position in the side of the TV furniture. There was a small fridge with some drinks in the wardrobe and one bottle of water was complimentary when I checked in. But it is strange to offer a bottle of water but there was no bottle opener. I had a window towards Av Corrientes street and there was a bit of traffic noise even on the 9th floor and the theaters in the street had big screens that produced quite a lot of flashing. The wardrobe only had two hangers and even if there was a laundry form, there were no laundry bags. I had to ask for this a couple of times before I eventually got it. There was no iron/ironing board in the room – to do the iron you had to go to a certain room on level 1 I think to do your ironing. The lack of hangers and the ironing solution is not very convenient when traveling for business. The bathroom was quite large, and it included a big shower area (but with hardly any place to put stuff) with a rain forest shower. The sink was fancy but not very practical – and amenities included shampoo but no shower gel. Instead there were bars of small soaps to use in the shower and in the sink. If you provide a bar of soap, there should also be a place to store it by the sink – that was not the case here. In a separate room there was a toilet and a bide and with two hooks on the wall. I’m not quite sure why you would want to hang stuff in the toilet - there should have been a place to hang stuff around the sink. So all in all, a bathroom that was oversized but still didn’t work very well. It was nice with the glass wall from the shower towards the room as it does allow light into the bathroom. Breakfast was not bad but there was also a lot of people, so it got really crowded. Instead of having a proper coffee machine, there was a thermos with coffee, one with hot water and one with hot milk. The coffee one seemed to run on empty a few times and intense pumping was required to fill a cup. There was toast, cereal, dulce de leche, fruit, ham and cheese, yogurt and all the other stuff that you would expect. One floor up from the lobby, there was a conference center and a small business center which was perfect to use as an office in between meetings. Location of the hotel is great as it is only a few minutes from the obelisk on the main avenue of Buenos Aires – the wide Av. De 9 Julio. Around the hotel there are also restaurants, convenience stores and you can even walk over to the subway station. All in all, there are some things that could be improved but I would not mind staying at this hotel again if I return to BA.”
